Verdict in Aligarh's Tappal murder case, girl's killer gets life imprisonment, 70 thousand fine

In the famous Tappal murder case of Aligarh, the killer of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 70 thousand has also been imposed. Three other accused in the case have been acquitted yesterday itself. The testimony of a child has played a decisive role in bringing the murderer to life imprisonment.
The dead body was thrown in the garbage after killing a two-and-a-half-year-old girl
On May 30, 2019, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl went missing from a house in Tappan, Aligarh. Three days later, on June 2, the girl's body was found lying on a garbage dump 100 meters away from her house. Political and Bollywood people expressed anger over the murder of the girl child.
The police sent the main accused Zahid, his wife Sabusta, brother Mehndi Hasan, and neighbor Aslam to jail in the Tappal murder case. Later Zahid and Sabusta got bail from the High Court. The court of ADJ-12 Siddharth Singh convicted the main accused Zahid in the Tappal murder case and acquitted his wife Sabusta, brother Mehndi Hasan, and neighbor Aslam.
Life imprisonment for Zahid, the killer of the child
The court of ADJ-12 Siddharth Singh has awarded life imprisonment to the main accused Zahid in the Tappal murder case. Along with this, a fine of 70 thousand has also been imposed. ADGC Pramendra Jain told that the main accused has been sentenced to life imprisonment. 3 accused have been acquitted. On perusal of the file, an appeal will be filed in the High Court.
Testimony of a child proved decisive
Zahid had called the girl when she was playing with the children. A child playing together had testified in the court that Zahid had called the girl and taken her, after which Zahid killed the girl.
