Anger and agitation spread in the area as soon as people came to know about the desecration of the religious book. People said that some anti-social elements are deliberately spoiling the atmosphere of the state and that the police should take immediate action against such people. On receiving the information, SHO Madhu Bala from Dugri police station reached the spot along with her team and started a search operation to find out the miscreants who did this.

Earlier it was believed that Gutka Sahib leaves should be kept for immersion in the canal, but since the canal has been dry for the past several days, the police have started an investigation in this regard. Portions of scripture are respectfully carried to the Gurdwara Sahib. Along with this, CCTV cameras installed in the area are being checked. According to the police, the accused will not be spared.
